cozycli v0.2 - 150 core tasks + cheatsheet

2025/09/22 — note, sideproject

i spent the last weeks working more on cozycli.com and added a bunch of things i wanted in there. this update is a bit bigger and makes the trainer feel more complete.

tl;dr

  • 150 curated linux core tasks
  • summary with stats
  • cheatsheet with categories, filters and live highlighting
  • public github repo to contribute
  • changelog page

new tasks

i redid the catalog from scratch. the old 50 tasks are gone because they were a bit random. now there are 150 tasks that focus on linux core commands. the idea is to keep it practical so beginners learn the stuff that matters and works on almost every distro.

summary with stats

I also added a little summary with some stats after finishing all available tasks or by typing "stats" or "summary".

It gives you:

  • the amount of correct answers without any hints
  • correct answers with hints
  • skipped tasks
  • wrong attempts
  • best streak
  • and your success rate

cheatsheet

i built a cheatsheet page. every command that appears in the trainer is explained in a short way and i added links if you want to go deeper. its a quick place to check what a command does without leaving the page.

github repo

all tasks are in a public repo as a single json. anyone can contribute by editing or adding new ones. would be nice if the catalog grows over time and gets more diverse use cases.

what is live now

everything is live on cozycli.com

what comes next

i want to add different training modes. for example 10 or 25 question mode. after finishing you get a summary and stats. then you can repeat the same set to compare or reshuffle for fresh tasks. makes practice more flexible and a bit more fun.

thats the current state of cozycli.com. im building this as a small cozy project for myself but maybe its useful for others who want to learn or refresh linux commands.
